Dan Kersten

Dan Kersten has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Dan currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at RapidRatings. Prior to that, they worked at Klarna as a DevOps/SRE Consultant, where they were responsible for building a scalable and reliable logging pipeline. At kMap limited, they served as a Senior Software Engineer.

Dan also has experience at ViaSat Inc. and Arconics - a ViaSat company, where they worked as a Principal Software Engineer. At ViaSat, they developed software for onboard entertainment and flight operations, and enabled in-flight internet. At Arconics, they focused on synchronizing large quantities of data over satellite internet.

In addition, Dan has served as a Senior Software Engineer at FieldAware and as the CTO at Investor Sheet. At FieldAware, they worked on software development, while at Investor Sheet, they oversaw technical endeavors and communicated the company's technical direction.

Dan was also a Technical Co-Founder at Conker and worked as an independent contractor, specializing in backend web development, firmware programming, and tool development. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at Cellusys, where they developed core technologies in Java and C++ for various product lines.

Throughout their career, Dan has gained experience in various technologies and toolsets, such as Fluentd, Python, AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Splunk, Django, Qt, MIDI, Atmel microcontrollers, and Microchip PIC24 microcontrollers.

Dan Kersten received their education from 2004 to 2008 at Dublin City University, where they completed a degree in Computer Applications with a specialization in Software Engineering. Their field of study focused on Computer Science.
