Troy Beechner

SVP Engineering, Power Systems Division at RCT Systems

Troy Beechner has a strong background in engineering and power systems. Troy began their career at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation in 2004, where they held various roles including Electrical Systems Engineer and Lab Director/Senior Electrical Engineer. In these positions, they were responsible for leading systems engineering projects for the US Navy's propulsion plant and monitoring equipment. Troy also provided hardware and troubleshooting support to Navy submarines and co-chaired a team that developed a training program.

In 2012, Beechner joined Mainstream Engineering Corporation as an Electrical R&D Engineer. Troy later took on the role of Power Electronics Technology Lead, where they led multiple projects focused on the development of innovative semiconductor modules and power conversion applications for military and naval use. Troy'swork included the development of wire-bondless wide bandgap semiconductor modules, high power density magnetics, and SiC-based motor drives.

Most recently, in 2019, Beechner joined RCT Systems as the VP Engineering for the Power Systems Division. Details about their roles and responsibilities in this position are not provided.

Troy Beechner's education history began in 2001 when they enrolled at the University of Florida to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Troy completed their undergraduate studies in 2004. Afterward, in 2003, they furthered their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, finishing in 2004.

Seeking higher education, Troy Beechner joined Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2006. Troy dedicated the next six years to pursue a PhD in Electric Power Engineering, ultimately completing their doctoral studies in 2012.
