Karthik Krishnan is a seasoned operator and an NACD Certified board director with 25+ years in Information Media (Consumer & B2B), Healthcare and Education. He is an Adjunct Professor at New York University - Stern School of Business. On the World Economic Forum Expert Network, Karthik is a recognized expert on Education, Healthcare, and Information Media. He serves on the board of Urban Upbound. Prior, Karthik was the Global CEO of the Britannica Group, which includes the iconic Encyclopaedia Britannica and Merriam-Webster brands in addition to other modern-day brands focused on professional readiness training in aviation and defense industries. Under his leadership, Britannica was recognized as the No. 1 company to watch in EdTech, a Top 20 brand in voice innovation and a Great Place to Work. Prior, Karthik was Senior Vice President and General Manager - Global Clinical Solutions at RELX (an FTSE 100 company) where he launched products that won industry recognitions including Best in KLAS and Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation awards. The solutions were aimed at helping physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and allied health professionals make better decisions at the point of care. Karthik was active with William J. Clinton Foundation and recognized by former US President Clinton for his leadership in launching the Urban Enterprise Initiative. He has been involved in a number of transformative initiatives including Doubling India’s agricultural production, Transforming Harlem (New York City) into a vibrant business community and tourist destination, and Establishing New York University (Stern Business School) as a top destination for Entertainment, Media and Technology specialization.
