Ehren van Schmus

Ehren Van Schmus has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Ehren is currently the Director of Engineering at Redwire Space since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Deployable Space Systems Inc. from 2013 to 2021, where they held the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager and provided technical direction for various aerospace projects. From 2007 to 2013, Ehren worked at Clipper Windpower as a Mechanical Engineer and Technical Lead for Wind Turbine Blade Pitch & Machine Base Yaw Systems. Ehren also has experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Tilton Engineering from 2004 to 2007 and as the Director of Engineering at Maximum Motorsports from 1997 to 2004. Additionally, Ehren worked as an independent contractor and engineering consultant from 1990 to 1997, designing various automotive products and constructing an award-winning electric passenger vehicle. Ehren started their career at San Diego Technology Group in 1986 as a Draftsman/Engineering Technician/Field Service & Repair.

Ehren Van Schmus earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2000.
