Michael Hutson

Michael Hutson has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry, primarily with Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc. Michael most recently held the position of Vice President, Development since December 2021. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Development Manager from December 2017 to September 2018. Michael initially joined the company in 2008 as a Transmission Planning Engineer and has since held various roles including Development Manager and Senior Transmission Strategist.

Michael Hutson completed their education at two different institutions. From 2012 to 2014, they attended the University of Colorado Denver and obtained their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Global Energy Management. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2004, they studied at The University of Queensland and received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in October 2017.
