Maria Cashdollar

Assistant Head of School & Director, Education at Riverview School

As Director of Education, Maria is responsible for Riverview’s three academic programs; middle school, high school and GROW. Her work includes hiring and supervising academic faculty as well as program development and training.

Maria joined Riverview in 1986 as a member of the residential faculty. She worked in the school’s residential program for seven years helping students master personal development skills. In 1993, Maria joined Riverview’s teaching faculty. Having been part of both the residential and academic departments at Riverview has given Maria a global perspective on the students and their needs. In 2008, Maria was appointed Riverview’s Director of Education, and in 2012 she was named Assistant Head of School.

Maria earned her BA in Psychology from Bates College and her MA from Bridgewater State University. She is licensed in Special Education Administration and in Moderate Disabilities.

Maria resides in Forestdale with her husband Todd and their cat. She enjoys spending time at her church where she and her husband run a support ministry. Maria also takes pleasure in gardening, traveling and beekeeping.
