Richard Sandstrom

Richard Sandstrom's work experience includes roles at several organizations. Richard began their career as an Information Technology Technician at Emporia Christian School in 2009, where they maintained the network, server, and website. Richard then worked as a Graduate Assistant for the School of Library & Information Management at Emporia State University from 2013 to 2014, managing a technology inventory database and providing software support. Richard later joined Emporia Public Library as a Technology Specialist from 2014 to 2017, where they delivered reference services, served as a webmaster, and designed and implemented network infrastructure. Richard then became the Library Director at Sidney Public Library from 2020 to 2021, overseeing operations and managing personnel. Following this, Richard joined FierroTech as a Business Intelligence Analyst from 2021 to 2022, where they designed and deployed business analytics dashboards and developed methods for data extraction. Currently, they are employed as a Data Migration Engineer at Rooted Software since 2023.

Richard Sandstrom completed their Master of Library Science degree from Emporia State University from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Barclay College between 1994 and 1998. Richard also holds several additional certifications, including the Alteryx Designer Core Certification and the Alteryx Foundational Micro-Credential from Alteryx, obtained in February 2023. In addition, Richard obtained Virtuous Administrator, Virtuous Finance, Virtuous Fundraiser, and Virtuous Marketing certifications from Virtuous in January 2023.
