T.J. McCarty

T.J. McCarty has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. T.J. started their career at Laptop for Writers in 2017 as a Senior UX/UI Developer and was responsible for designing and building the frontend website. T.J. consistently sought user feedback to enhance the user experience.

In 2019, McCarty joined PageCOW as a Senior Full Stack Developer, where they developed a cloud-based book writing service using technologies like React and Redux.

In 2020, they worked as a Contract Full Stack Web Developer at Webaholics.co, contributing to the development of a developer platform that allows building web applications without coding knowledge, using technologies like Vue.js and React.

Later in 2020, McCarty was hired by Aaron Rich Marketing as a Senior Full Stack Developer. T.J. developed school websites for a large Florida county serving thousands of students, utilizing technologies such as React Native, Angular, and ASP.NET.

In 2021, McCarty joined Native Notify as a Senior Full Stack Engineer. T.J. developed a push notification service from scratch and successfully scaled it to accommodate over 45,000 users. Technologies employed included React, React Native, Node.js, and Express.

Alongside their professional ventures, McCarty started their own YouTube channel called YouTube.com/c/native-notify in 2021. As a YouTube Creator, their channel generated over 1 million total views and currently receives over 49,000 organic views per month.

Most recently, McCarty began working at Rooted Software in 2023 as a Full Stack Developer.

T.J. McCarty has a diverse education history. T.J. holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management from Western Governors University. Additionally, they have obtained a certificate in Full-Stack Web Development from Devmountain and a diploma in Filmmaking with a focus on Screenwriting and Directing from Motion Picture Institute. T.J. also holds a diploma in Worship Leadership from Victory Bible Institute. Earlier in their education journey, they completed an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Management & Supervision Technologies from James H Faulkner State Community College. Furthermore, T.J. has obtained a DevMountain Full Stack Developer Badge certification in December 2019.
