Larissa Laan has a diverse work experience, starting in 2017 as a Bestuurslid Commissaris Sport at Sportraad Utrecht, where they were responsible for the communication and coordination of student sports organizations. Larissa Laan's education history begins in 2009 when they attended Werenfridus High School, where they completed their VWO (pre-university education) from 2009 to 2015. After graduating from high school, Larissa enrolled at Utrecht University in 2015 and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Rechtsgeleerdheid (Law), which they completed in 2018.

Following their Bachelor's degree, Larissa continued their studies at Utrecht University from 2018 to 2019, focusing on a minor in bestuur- en organisatiewetenschappen (Public Administration and Organizational Sciences). Larissa then proceeded to pursue a Master's degree in Beleid Management & Communicatie (Policy Management & Communication) at Utrecht University from 2019 to 2020.

In 2021, Larissa began their HR Talent Program in Human Resources Development at RvdB, where they are expected to continue their studies until 2025.

In addition to their formal education, Larissa has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they achieved a B2 level of English proficiency from EF Education First. Larissa later attained a C1 level of English proficiency from OLS Recruitment Agency in 2019. Larissa has also acquired various other certifications, including Innerlijke rust en zelfcompassie (Inner Peace and Self-Compassion) from Schouten & Nelissen in February 2023, Vitaliteit (Vitality) from Vitalogisch® in December 2022, Agile/Scrum (Basis) from Agile Scrum Group in July 2022, Disc & Drijfveren (Disc & Motivations) from TalentFirst Nederland BV in July 2022, and NLP Basis (Neurolinguistic Programming) from Sluis NLP Instituut in June 2022.
