Richard Francis

Mr Francis commenced as Managing Director and CEO of Spark Infrastructure in 2012. He originally joined

Spark Infrastructure in 2009 as the CFO and served in that role for 3.5 years prior to his appointment as

Managing Director. He has 20 years’ experience in the Australian energy and energy infrastructure

industries. Prior to Spark Infrastructure he was employed by APA Group and Origin Energy Ltd. Mr Francis

is also a Chartered Accountant. He was an alternate director of SA Power Networks from 2009 and

appointed as a director on 1 June 2012 and is a director of Victoria Power Networks and NSW Electricity

Networks Operations (TransGrid). He was appointed as Chairman of Transgrid in December 2015 and has

served as Deputy Chair since June 2016. He also sits on a number of Board Sub-Committees for Spark’s

investments.
