Alec Delany

Alec Delany has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Alec began their career as an Engineering Intern at BMW Group in 2012, where they gained valuable experience in Chassis Development.

In 2013, they transitioned to the hospitality industry and worked as a Bartender at Little Trouble until 2016.

In 2015, they joined Monsieur, LLC as a Sales Engineer and contributed to the company's sales efforts until 2016.

In 2016, Alec decided to pursue a career in data science and enrolled in a 12-week, full-time course at General Assembly. During this time, they developed extensive skills in Python, UNIX, Git, SQL, Tableau, machine learning, data mining, and modeling techniques.

After completing the course, Alec joined General Assembly as an Instructor Associate for a few months in 2017.

Later in 2017, they joined Vert as a Digital Data Analyst, where they gained experience in analyzing digital data.

In the same year, they also joined 360i as an Associate Data Scientist and gradually advanced to become a Data Scientist and eventually a Senior Data Scientist. Alec worked on various data science projects and contributed to the company's analytical capabilities until 2020.

In 2020, Alec joined Salesloft as a Data Scientist and quickly progressed to the role of Senior Data Scientist, where they currently work.

Alec Delany attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2009 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 2016, they pursued further education at General Assembly, specializing in Data Science. No degree was specified for the Data Science program at General Assembly.
