Michael Baum

Michael Baum has extensive experience in finance and has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Michael is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at SPIMACO since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Bayer for many years, where they held positions such as Chief Financial Officer Brazil, Head of Risk Management, Chief Financial Officer Greater China, Corporate Finance - Head of Region APAC, Head of Enterprise Accounting & Reporting, Head of Corporate Planning & Controlling, and Assistant Manager Corporate & Business Services. Michael also worked as a Corporate Internal Auditor at Bayer.

Michael Baum received their formal education from 1995 to 1998 at the FOM University of Applied Sciences for Economics and Management. Michael obtained a Diplom-Kaufmann (FH) degree in Business Administration during this time. Later, from 1998 to 1999, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Bradford. Finally, from 2000 to 2005, they completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management Research, also from the University of Bradford.
