Laura Brown

Laura Brown, R.N., B.S.T.M. has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Laura started their career in 1980 at St Mary Medical Center as an RN-Critical Care/Cardiac Cath Lab, where they gained experience in various areas of critical care and cath lab procedures. In 1995, they joined CalOptima as part of the Care Coordination team. In 2004, they transitioned to SCAN Health Plan as the Manager of Clinical System, where they stayed until 2013. During this time, they also served as the Director of Medical Policy and Benefit Code Set Center, and later as the Director of Medical Policy & Medical Claims Review. In these roles, they demonstrated their leadership skills by assuming clinical leadership responsibilities, assessing processes, establishing reporting processes, and implementing cross-departmental workgroups and committees. Their experience and expertise make their a valuable asset in the healthcare industry.

Laura Brown, R.N., B.S.T.M., completed an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Long Beach Community College from 1979 to 1983. Laura then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management (BSTM) at DeVry University from 2006 to 2008.
