Dr. Sven Pfleging

Dr. Sven Pfleging has a wealth of experience in various senior leadership roles within the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Dr. Sven is currently serving as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Schülke & Mayr. Prior to this, Dr. Pfleging held the position of VP Central Europe & Central Eastern Europe at Covetrus, where they successfully monitored and maximized profit and loss for multiple markets and implemented strategies to improve portfolio performance. Dr. Sven also worked as the Vice President of Adult Care & Healthy Aging at Danone Specialized Nutrition, overseeing a significant turnover and leading a team responsible for commercial, medical, regulatory, and product development. Before that, they worked as the General Manager of Specialized Nutrition for the Nordics & Baltics, achieving strong growth and market share expansion. Dr. Pfleging's career also includes roles as the Global Category Director of Alzheimer/Memory at Nutricia, where they spearheaded the global commercial launch of a nutritional intervention for memory loss in Alzheimer's disease, and as the Marketing Director of Renal Pharmaceuticals EMEA at Fresenius Medical Care, overseeing successful product launches and increasing the portfolio's value. Dr. Sven also worked at Bayer Healthcare as the Head of Specialized Therapeutics, Emerging Markets, overseeing regional marketing and sales functions for key therapies like betaferon and ventavis. Dr. Pfleging began their career at BearingPoint as a Consultant, specializing in strategy consulting and process re-engineering, and completed their Ph.D. during this time. Overall, Dr. Sven Pfleging has a strong track record of driving business growth, improving profit margins, and leading cross-functional teams in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

Dr. Sven Pfleging began their education in 1994 at The Philipp University of Marburg, where they obtained a BA in Business Administration and Economics in 1997. Following this, they enrolled in the MBA Program at Penn State University from 1997 to 1998. In 1998, they pursued a Master's Degree in International Business Studies at Maastricht University, which they completed in 2000. In 2002, Dr. Pfleging continued their academic journey at Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, undertaking a Ph.D. in the Institute of Entrepreneurship between 2002 and 2003.
