Paul Harris has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Paul began their career in 1987 as an Army Officer with the Australian Army, where they served until 2009. During this time, they gained valuable experience in various roles.

In 2005, Harris joined the Australian Department of Defence as a Program Manager for the ASLAV Program, where they worked until 2006. Paul then served as a Joint Operations Staff Officer - Plans & Operations in the Multi-National Division - South East Iraq from 2007 to 2007.

Harris returned to the Australian Department of Defence in 2007 and held positions as Deputy Director in the Systems Program Office and as the inaugural Director of Army's vehicle survivability management and systems integration. Paul played a crucial role in establishing the Vehicle Capability Management System and overseeing vehicle upgrade projects.

In 2011, Harris embarked on a 12-week QuickLook assignment with RPDE, where they led the Land 400 Industry Review. After completing their assignment, they joined Thales Australia in 2009 and worked in various roles related to sales, business development, marketing, and strategy for their Protected Vehicles division. As the Director Sales, Protected Vehicles, they secured a major export sale of Bushmaster to the NZDF.

Most recently, Harris joined Sentient Vision Systems in 2022, where they currently hold the position of Vice President Business Development.

Throughout their career, Harris has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in business development, sales, marketing, strategy, and project management in the defense industry. Paul has a proven track record of securing major contracts and leading successful initiatives.

Paul Harris has a diverse education history, starting with their attendance at the Royal Military College - Duntroon in 1987 to 1988. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Professional Studies with a focus on Organisational Management at the University of New England from 1993 to 1994. Later on, from 1999 to 2000, Paul completed a Master's degree in Management with a specialization in Technology Management at UNSW. Lastly, in 2004, they attended the University of Canberra to pursue a Master's degree in Management with a focus on Defence Strategic Management.
