Jeff Chopin

EVP, Property Management at Shannon Waltchack

Jeff Chopin joined Shannon Waltchack in 2018 and currently serves as the EVP and Director of Property Management. In this role, Jeff is responsible for all aspects of the SW-managed portfolio including oversight of operations for more than 110 properties throughout 7 states. Jeff continuously achieves superior operational results and financial performance for ownership, while also ensuring 775 tenants receive best-in-class service.

Jeff is an active member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), currently serving as the President of the Alabama Chapter. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and the U.S. Green Building Council. His numerous designations include Certified Property Manager® (CPM®), Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design AP, Accredited Residential Manager® (ARM®), and he is working on his Certified Commercial Investment Member designation. Jeff holds a Masters of Real Estate and Construction Management degree from the University of Denver and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Loyola University New Orleans.

Jeff is passionate about giving back to the community and has served on the Board of Directors for several Real Estate orientated nonprofit organizations. He furthers his philanthropic and volunteerism goals by supporting many local charitable organizations. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys almost any outdoor activity. Recently he has taken an interest in ultramarathons, with his longest distance to date of 50 miles.
