Jon Sandison

Jon Sandison is an experienced educator and community worker with a focus on history and social subjects. Currently, Jon serves as a Teacher of History at Anderson High School under Shetland Islands Council since June 2007 and has also contributed to community development initiatives. Jon's previous roles include Research and Strategy Officer for the Shetland Islands Council and Part-Time Youth Worker at Islesburgh Community Centre, where involvement in youth projects was prominent. Jon holds a M.A. in Military History from the University of Birmingham, a PGDE in Education from the University of Aberdeen, and a B.A. in History and Politics from the University of Stirling. Additionally, Jon is an Associate Member of the International Guild of Battlefield Guides since May 2019.
