Nancy Gephart

Nancy Gephart is a Partner at Shift Capital, a position they have held since 2018. Nancy has over eight years of experience in the Impact Investing industry.

Nancy started their career as a Loan Associate at Capital Impact Partners in May 2014. Nancy was quickly promoted to Loan Officer in 2016 and led the Originations team in 2018. Nancy was responsible for underwriting 14 transactions across the US and increasing deal flow in the healthy food sector.

In their role as Loan Officer, Nancy managed a portfolio of 27 borrowers and worked with them to monitor progress, address challenges and achieve their strategic and capital growth goals. Nancy was also responsible forJumpstarting and leading business development in the DC Metro area, building relationships with industry partners and adding over $50 million in local opportunities to investment pipeline.

In May 2018, Nancy joined Shift Capital as a Partner. In their role at Shift Capital, Nancy is responsible for Capital Markets and has helped the company structure, underwrite, and manage over 50 real estate transactions in healthcare, education, healthy food, housing, and aging sectors, totaling over $100 million in new loans outstanding.

Nancy Gephart holds an MBA/MS from the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise at the University of Michigan, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Williams College.

Nancy Gephart reports to Brian Murray, Partner, CEO. They are on a team with Hugh Frater - Principal & Advisor, Michael Matera - Director of Marketing, and Gregg DiFabio - President of Development & Construction.
