Karen Burns

Karen Burns has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Karen has held various managerial and engineering roles at companies such as SM Energy Company, ConocoPhillips Canada, Burlington Resource, Burlington Resources Canada, and Mobil E&P. Karen has expertise in operations planning, financial reporting and planning, reservoir engineering, and corporate analysis. Karen is currently serving as the Director of Operations Planning at SM Energy Company.

Karen Burns attended Texas A&M University from 1984 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained several certifications in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) in Energy, including Managing ESG Risk, Stakeholder Management, and Framework Development.
