Karimi Kihato FCIPD has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting with Lake District Hotels Ltd in 2006 as an HR Generalist, Karimi then moved on to Hilton Hotels & Resorts in 2007, where they worked as an HR Business Partner, achieving significant improvements in staff satisfaction and turnover rate. In 2010, Karimi joined the Royal Air Force Club as an HR Manager and later joined GE Healthcare in 2015 as an HR Manager for Commercial & Digital. In 2018, Karimi became a Senior HR Business Partner and Org Development Lead at Digital Catapult, where they executed HR strategies and led organizational transformation programs. Karimi's most recent roles include being the Director of People and Projects at Matillion and the Founder of ProtagonistHR, where they currently serve as an HR Consultant. Currently, Karimi Kihato is the Global Human Resources Director at Smiths Group plc. Throughout their career, Karimi has demonstrated strong leadership, people management, and organizational development skills.

Karimi Kihato FCIPD has a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management from KUC, obtained in 2001. In 2006, Karimi obtained an MSc in Human Resource Management from the University of Strathclyde. From 2007 to 2010, Karimi pursued a CIPD Masters Level Qualification in Human Resources Management from the University of Manchester - MOL. In 2021, Karimi became an AgileHR Certified Practitioner from agilehrcommunity.com. Additionally, Karimi is currently pursuing a degree in HRM from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and has obtained various additional certifications, including being a Certified ScrumMaster from Scrum Alliance and completing the Digital Transformation in HR program from LSE. Karimi also holds a certificate from TLA - Black Women In Tech and has completed online courses from LinkedIn on Radical Candor and UX Design.
