Ryan Herrera

Battalion Chief at South King Fire & Rescue

Ryan Herrera has extensive experience in the fire and rescue industry. Ryan started their career in 1998 as a firefighter with South King Fire & Rescue, where they worked until 2016. During this time, they held various roles, including Battalion Chief, Fire Captain, Fire Lieutenant, Deputy Fire Marshal, and Firefighter. In 2003, Ryan also became involved with the South King County Professional Firefighters - IAFF Local 2024, where they held positions such as Trustee, Secretary, and President. Ryan returned to the organization in 2020 as President. Overall, Ryan Herrera has over 20 years of experience in firefighting and has demonstrated leadership skills through their various roles.

Ryan Herrera attended Purdue Global from 2019 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Management. In addition, they obtained the Purdue University Global e-Diploma in July 2021.
