Ian Weng

Ian Weng has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Ian is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of SPATULA, a company they started in 2021. Prior to this, Ian worked at Uber from 2017 to 2020, holding several leadership roles including Head of Strategy for Uber Eats Canada and Head of Cities Operations. Before Uber, Ian co-founded and served as CEO of ChopChop Inc., an advertising platform for restaurants, from 2016 to 2017. Ian also worked at KPMG Canada, where they held positions as Manager in Deal Advisory and Senior Accountant in Assurance. Their responsibilities at KPMG included advising clients on infrastructure projects, conducting strategic analysis, and leading audit engagements for financial institutions.

Ian Weng is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at INSEAD from 2020 to 2021. Ian also participated in an exchange program at The Wharton School in 2021, where they continued their studies in the MBA program. Prior to their MBA, Ian Weng earned a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Waterloo. Ian also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from the same institution. Ian Weng further obtained additional certifications, including CPA, CA from CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants Canada) in May 2015. Ian is also a CFA Level III Candidate, certified by the CFA Institute.
