Jaap Eijzenga

Jaap Eijzenga has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental conservation and wildlife research. Jaap started their career as a Wildlife Technician at the US Fish and Wildlife Service, where they were involved in predator control and various surveys. Jaap then worked as a Primary Bander at the Klamath Bird Observatory, focusing on bird banding. Jaap also served as an Island Supervisor for the National Audubon Society, overseeing island conservation efforts. Jaap continued their wildlife research as a Wildlife Technician at the North Carolina State University and later joined the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a Plant Ecological Research Assistant. Jaap's experience expanded further at Chevron, where they worked as a Wildlife Consultant. Jaap then became a Wildlife Biologist for the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, coordinating seabird habitat conservation and restoration efforts. Currently, Jaap is the Director Pacific Islands at SWCA Environmental Consultants, managing projects in the Pacific Islands region.

Jaap Eijzenga started their education at Het Van Hall Instituut in 1997 and completed their Bachelor's degree in Wildlife Management in 2000. Jaap then pursued their Master's degree in Botany, Ecology Evolution and Conservation Biology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2003 to 2009. Furthermore, no information is provided regarding their education at Han Fortmann College.
