Grant Boggess

Senior Data Scientist at Swell Energy

Grant Boggess has extensive work experience in the engineering and data science fields. Grant currently works as a Senior Data Scientist at Swell Energy since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at GE Renewable Energy, starting in July 2019. At GE, they held multiple roles, including Lead Engineer - R&D Systems, Advanced Technology Engineer, and Edison Engineer. As an Edison Engineer, they were involved in various rotations, such as working on machine head structures, reliability and analytics, hybrid value analytics, and loads prediction. Grant also has experience as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Rice University from August 2017 to May 2019. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of Kentucky Biodynamics Laboratory from January 2011 to May 2017, an Engineering Intern at GE Power & Water in June 2015, and an Engineering Intern at the Kentucky Industrial Assessment Center from January 2014 to September 2014. Grant Boggess also served as an NSF funded Undergraduate Research Fellow at the University of Kentucky from January 2011 to May 2014.

Grant Boggess completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering and their BS degree in Materials Engineering from the University of Kentucky, where they attended from 2012 to 2017. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Rice University from 2017 to 2019.
