Gabriele Vielhaber

Gabriele Vielhaber has had extensive work experience in the field of cosmetics and ingredients. Gabriele started their career at Beiersdorf AG as a Research Associate, focusing on epidermal structure and lipid composition. Gabriele then joined Research Center Borstel as a Project Leader before moving on to Haarmann & Reimer GmbH, where they served as the Director of Ingredient Screening. Vielhaber then joined Symrise, taking on various roles such as Vice President of R&D Cosmetic Ingredients and Vice President of Global Innovation in Scent & Care. In 2010, they became the Senior Vice President of the BU Life Essentials division at Symrise, and later held senior positions in Actives & Micro Protection, Global Accounts Cosmetic Ingredients, and Strategic Development. Currently, Vielhaber holds the position of Senior Vice President of Sustainability in the Taste Nutrition & Health division at Symrise AG.

Gabriele Vielhaber completed a PhD in Biochemistry from The University of Bonn from 1992 to 1996. Prior to that, they studied Chemistry and Biochemistry at Heidelberg University from 1984 to 1991, although they did not obtain a specific degree.
