Kenyatta Shamburger, Ph.D., currently serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Talladega College since February 2023, previously holding the position of Vice President and Chief of Staff in the Office of the President. Prior to Talladega College, Kenyatta was Chief of Staff in the Office of the President at Philander Smith College from January 2022 to January 2023. Experience at Iowa State University spanned from July 2013 to December 2021, where Kenyatta held dual roles as Assistant Dean of Students for Intercultural Initiatives and Resource Centers and as Director of Multicultural Student Affairs. Earlier roles include Director of Student Activities at Clemson University from December 2006 to July 2013, and Director of Student Life and Planning at Morehouse College from August 1997 to December 2006. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Iowa State University, a Master of Arts in Leadership/Administration from ITC, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, Psychology, and African American Studies from Northeastern University.
