DataOps Engineer at Tamr

Joshua Liu has a diverse range of work experiences in the field of biomedical engineering and data analysis. Joshua is currently working as a DataOps Engineer at Tamr. Previously, they served as a Postbaccalaureate Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) Fellow at The National Institutes of Health, where they led a project analyzing publications on statistical models used in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) research and developed a digital tool for access to a database in the field of MS. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacometrics Intern at Johnson & Johnson, where they established a framework for a pharmacology model and performed literature searches on IBD progression. Joshua also worked as a Computational Modeling Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering, where they explored the effects of immune checkpoint blockade therapy on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) using computational models. Additionally, they served as a Design Team Member at Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design and as a Software Intern at JBS SCIENCE INC., where they contributed to the development of tools for data analysis and biomarker discovery.

Joshua Liu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University from 2017 to 2020. Joshua is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Divinity/Ministry at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, starting in 2022.
