Jumaina Siddiqui

Jumaina Siddiqui has a diverse and extensive work experience. Jumaina worked as a Program Director at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, focusing on Global Security and International Affairs. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Program Officer at the United States Institute of Peace, where they managed programs related to democracy, governance, and conflict in Pakistan and South Asia.

Jumaina also worked at the National Democratic Institute (NDI) as a Program Manager and Senior Program Officer, overseeing various democracy and governance projects in Pakistan. Jumaina played a key role in program design, implementation, and evaluation, as well as managing international and local subgrantees.

Furthermore, they worked as a Senior Program Officer at Global Communities, where they managed a USAID-funded program in Pakistan. Jumaina contributed to workforce development, infrastructure, and economic growth/livelihoods in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Jumaina Siddiqui completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Justice at American University from 1998 to 2002. In 2003, they attended Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) for a period of one year to study South Asian Studies. Later on, they pursued a Master's degree at New York University from 2006 to 2009, focusing on Middle East and South Asian Studies, Politics, and Islamic Studies. Recently, in 2021 and 2022, Jumaina obtained a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver.
