Maria Puertas

Maria Puertas has a diverse work experience that spans across various roles and organizations. Maria is currently working as a Community Manager at The Markup since June 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Social Media Editor at ACLU from May 2020 to June 2021. Maria also had internships at ACLU, where they worked as a Multimedia Production Intern from January 2019 to May 2019, and as a Digital Analytics Intern from June 2018 to December 2018. Before joining ACLU, they were a Digital Intern at the Democratic National Committee from May 2017 to August 2017. Additionally, Maria served as a Content Intern at Fluent City from January 2017 to May 2017, and as a Digital Intern at Hillary for America from September 2016 to November 2016.

Maria Puertas completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social and Cultural Analysis from New York University. Maria pursued this degree from 2016 to 2020.
