Country Manager, Austria at Too Good To Go

Georg Strasser is the current Country Manager for Austria at Too Good To Go. Prior to this, Georg was the Corporate Responsibility Manager at HOFER KG from February 2015 to June 2019. In this role, Georg led a team of Corporate Social Responsibility Experts on Sustainability, Communication ("Heute für Morgen"), CO2 reduction, Corporate Citizenship, and Corporate Volunteering. Georg is particularly proud of having developed and executed a nationwide philanthropy strategy, and a number of food waste programs that reduced waste significantly.

Before their work at HOFER KG, Georg was a Research Trainee at Grameen Bank in Dhaka from January 2014 to December 2014. Georg travelled to Dhaka to learn from the pioneer of social business and to conduct their field research for their Master's thesis on microfinance and poverty alleviation. Inspired by the precedence of eradicating worldwide poverty and the unresolved discussion how to solve this problem, Georg tried to find out how microfinance and social business can play a role.

Georg's first professional experience was as an Assistant to the Director at INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR SCIENCE from January 2013 to December 2013.

Georg Strasser has a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from Uppsala University, as well as a Master of Arts in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt. Georg also has an exchange semester from Edith Cowan University. Georg is certified in Project Management from SMBS - University of Salzburg Business School.
