Dr. Linda van de Burgwal

Dr. Linda van de Burgwal has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. Linda started their career in 2011 as an Owner/Entrepreneur at de Blauwdrukker. From 2014 to 2021, they worked at Athena - Research and Education Institute as an Assistant Professor, Postdoctoral Researcher, and PhD Researcher (cum laude). In 2018, they co-founded Triall and served as its Chief Financial Officer. In 2016, they co-founded FFUND - Life Science and Health consulting and served as its Co-Founder/Owner and Managing Partner. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Sovalacc BV as its Chief Executive Officer and at Artemis One Health as its Business Developer. In 2017, they worked at Wageningen Bioveterinary Research as a Business Developer. Since 2015, they have been a Member of the Board at Dutch Association of Technology Transfer Professionals. In 2021, they started working as the Director Demonstrator Lab at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). In 2022, they co-founded Genewity.

Dr. Linda van de Burgwal completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) between 2004 and 2007. Dr. Linda then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepeneurship in the Health and Life Sciences from VU Amsterdam between 2007 and 2009. Finally, Dr. van de Burgwal earned a PhD in Innovation in Life Sciences from VU Amsterdam between 2014 and 2018. Prior to their higher education, they attended ISG Arcus and obtained a VWO in Nature & Health, with additional courses in Economics, Chemistry, and German Language between 1998 and 2004.
