Zayna Lateef

Zayna Lateef is an accomplished undergraduate research assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on improving MOSFETs through innovative gate stack designs incorporating negative differential capacitance. Previous experience includes roles such as an embedded systems intern at Tesla and a gateway digital architecture intern at NASA. As a quantitative analyst with Capital Investments at Berkeley, Zayna employed Python data science tools for financial analysis and strategy implementation. As vice president of education in Web Development at Berkeley, Zayna contributed to curriculum development for a large student body. Additionally, Zayna gained practical experience as an electrical engineering intern at Masimo, developing technology for non-invasive medical monitoring, and as a system engineering intern at Boeing, where contributions included risk assessment systems for advanced nuclear fusion projects. Zayna is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at UC Berkeley, having previously earned a high school diploma from Sage Hill School and planning to attend the London School of Economics and Political Science in summer 2024.
