Ruben Gonzalez Agüera

Rubén Gonzalez Agüera has extensive work experience in the field of technology and systems administration. Ruben is currently working at UEFA as a Senior DevOps & Cloud Engineer since November 2019. Prior to that, Rubén worked at Interoute Switzerland as a Technical Manager from January 2017 to November 2019. Before that, they held the role of System Hosting Administrator at Interoute from August 2014 to December 2016.

Rubén also has experience working at IBM as a Middleware System Administrator from October 2012 to August 2014. Earlier in their career, they worked at Ingenia as a Senior System Administrator, where they administered banking systems and services, including online banking platforms, ATM networks, e-learning platforms, and email and webmail systems, among others. Ruben also worked at ARI Business Solutions as a Junior System Administrator, where they solved technical problems and performed maintenance on servers.

Throughout their career, Rubén has gained expertise in a wide range of technologies, including Windows Server, Linux (particularly Red Hat), VMware, KVM, Cloudstack, Abiquo, NetApp, NetBackup, Veeam, SQL Server, SMARTS, Red Hat Satellite, WebSphere Application Server, AIX, IBM HTTPServer, TSM, FatWire, Solaris, Moodle, Postfix, Sendmail, Squirrel Mail, Bind, Flumotion, Apache, Zabbix, Cacti, and Nagios, among others.

Ruben Gonzalez Agüera attended IES Jesús Marin from 2005 to 2007, where they pursued a degree in Administración de Sistemas Informáticos. Apart from their formal education, Ruben obtained additional certifications including IBM WebSphere MQ V7 Administration from IBM in June 2014, B1 (Preliminary English Test) from Universidad de Cambridge, and Red Hat Certified System Administrator. Ruben also obtained a certification in WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment V7.0 from IBM.
