Bryan Alsip

Bryan Alsip, MD, MPH, FACPM has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Bryan began their career in the US Army in 1986, where they served as a Reserve Officer Training Corps until 1990. Bryan then became a Medical Service Corps Officer until 1994, and finally a Physician until 2006. In 2006, they transitioned to the City of San Antonio, where they held the position of Director of Clinical Services for a brief period. From 2007 to 2010, they were an Adjunct Professor in Healthcare Administration at Trinity University. In 2008, they became an Adjunct Professor of Public Health at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and a Clinical Professor at UT Health San Antonio. Since 2010, Dr. Alsip has been working at University Health, holding the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer.

Bryan Alsip, MD, MPH, FACPM, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Cornell University in 1990. Bryan continued their education at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 1994. In 1997, Alsip received a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from The Johns Hopkins University, specializing in Public Health. Bryan also completed a Clinical Clerkship in Medicine at the University of Oxford in 1994. In addition to their education, Alsip holds certifications as a National Public Health Leadership Institute Scholar from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine from the American Board of Preventive Medicine.
