Subhabrata Biswas

Director, Translational Sciences at Upstream Bio

Subhabrata Biswas has extensive work experience in the field of biomedical research. Subhabrata is currently serving as the Director of Translational Sciences at Upstream Bio. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant at Third Rock Ventures.

Subhabrata also held positions at Rheos Medicines as an Associate Director In vivo Drug Discovery and at Merck as a Senior Scientist. At Dana Farber Cancer Institute, they served as a Senior Research Fellow, where they contributed to the development and optimization of a novel platform technology for therapeutic human monoclonal antibodies. Subhabrata also played a leadership role in managing and promoting the humanized mouse program.

Earlier in their career, Subhabrata worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital and UMass Medical School.

Subhabrata Biswas has a diverse education history. Subhabrata pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in High Tech from Northeastern University, which they completed between 2004 and 2007. Prior to that, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) during the period of 1995 to 2001.
