Richard King

Richard King has extensive experience in corporate communications and media relations. Richard has held senior positions in various organizations, including Vanquis Banking Group and Provident Financial Group. At Vanquis Banking Group, they served as the Group Corporate Communications Director, overseeing external and internal communications, sustainability, and corporate responsibility. Prior to that, at Provident Financial Group, they held the same role, managing communications for the group and its business units. Richard has also worked as a Senior Consultant for a top PR agency, providing strategic counsel for financial services clients. Additionally, Richard has had roles in organizations such as Legal & General, HM Treasury, Schroders, Barclays Global Investors, and the Department of Trade & Industry. Richard has demonstrated expertise in crisis communications and has led communications efforts during significant events such as the financial crisis and major industry issues. Richard King attended RGS High Wycombe from 1982 to 1988 for their pre-university education. From 1988 to 1991, they studied at The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they obtained a BA Hons in History & Politics.
