Ursa Scherer

Ursa Scherer has a diverse work experience, spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2002, they served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer. Ursa then worked as a Supervisor for HIV Prevention Case Management at CAMBA from 2003 to 2005. In 2005, they briefly worked as an interim Clinician at Lake Grove at Maple Valley, Inc. From 2006 to 2007, they were a Studio Manager at Revive Wellness Center. Ursa then joined Teach For America in 2007, where they held multiple positions, including Office Manager, Director of Human Assets Business Partner, Managing Director of Human Assets Business Partner, and Senior Managing Director of Human Assets Business Partner. Ursa left Teach For America in 2015 to become the Senior Director of People Partnership at the ASPCA. In 2020, Ursa Scherer joined VentureWell as the Director of People & Culture, and later became the Vice President of People & Culture in 2021. Ursa'sroles focused on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as fostering an inclusive and supportive work culture.

Ursa Scherer attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Non-Profit Management. Following this, they attended the School for International Training from 2005 to 2006, pursuing a Masters of Science in Organizational Management.
