Ian Maurer

Ian Maurer, CISSP has a comprehensive work experience in various roles and positions. Ian started their career with a summer internship at NASA in 1998. From there, they worked as a System Administrator at Chescom.net before joining Medex Systems as a Sys Admin/Jr. Developer. Ian then worked as a Software Engineer at SafeMed Inc. in 2002. In 2003, Ian joined QVL Pharmacy Holdings, Inc as a Vice President of Technology, where they co-developed one of the first e-prescribing applications. After a series of acquisitions, Ian ended their tenure at QVL as Vice President of Technology. In 2009, they co-founded Ambient Health Intelligence Solutions, LLC, leading the development of a revenue cycle analytics platform. In 2011, after Ambient Health Intelligence Solutions was acquired by MediGain, they served as the Chief Information Officer, steering IT and BI efforts. In 2016, Ian joined CHMB - California Healthcare Medical Billing as the Senior Vice President of Technology, where they focused on driving digital strategy and transformation. Lastly, they are currently working as the Vice President of Technology at Veradigm®.

Ian Maurer, CISSP holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Tulane University. In addition to their academic background, Ian has acquired several certifications throughout their career. Ian obtained the CISSP certification from (ISC)² in 2015. Ian has also completed various professional courses, including "Career Essentials in Generative AI" by Microsoft and LinkedIn in 2023, "Equity First: The Path to Inclusion and Belonging" by LinkedIn in 2022, "Teaching Civility in the Workplace" by LinkedIn in 2022, "Cultivating Cultural Competence and Inclusion" by LinkedIn in 2021, "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" by LinkedIn in 2021, and "Integrity Selling" in 2008.
