The In-Country Marketing Manager is responsible for growing existing relationships and developing new relationships to increase business with Correspondent Payer partners in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and as assigned. This position will also be responsible for marketing promotions in the local area.

Duties and Responsabilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by establishing strategic alliances with potential pay partners to build the network in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua.
  • Perform market research on corridor trends, competitors, local central banks, and other regulatory entities.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to increase Viamericas’ brand awareness in central America.
  • Ensure consistent and impactful marketing efforts.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to inform marketing strategies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with business goals.
  • Manage on the ground marketing to include dressing rural locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in the money transfer industry or related industry.
  • Proven expertise in marketing within the financial services industry, preferably in money transfer services.
  • Strong understanding of central America market and cultural nuances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel within the region and to other countries as needed.

Working Conditions

  • General remote office working conditions. Domestic and International travel will be required as needed.
