Edward Thomas

Edward (Marty) Thomas has a strong background in supply chain and operations management. Edward (Marty) has held various leadership roles throughout their career, working for notable companies such as Wabtec Corporation and GE Transportation.

From 2019 to present, Edward has served as the Vice President of the Global Freight Services Group at Wabtec Corporation. In this role, they oversee operations, including new engine manufacturing, remanufacturing, aftermarket parts distribution, and integrated supply chain management.

Prior to joining Wabtec Corporation, Edward worked at GE Transportation for over two decades. From 2017 to 2019, they served as the Senior Executive of Global Supply Chain, responsible for managing a $2.2 billion integrated supply chain segment for services, marine, and digital profit and loss units.

Additionally, Edward held the position of Executive of Global Reliability & Quality Center of Excellence at GE Transportation from 2016 to 2017, leading a cross-functional team responsible for various quality functions. Edward (Marty) was directly accountable to the CEO of GE Transportation.

Earlier in their career, Edward held roles such as Account Executive for Service Operations at BNSF and UPRR, where they focused on business growth, financial performance, and customer commercial negotiations. Edward (Marty) also served as a Global Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and held management positions at CSX, leading locomotive plant operations and field service engineering.

Edward's work experience demonstrates their expertise in supply chain, operations management, quality control, and business growth. Edward (Marty) has consistently delivered strong results and held leadership positions at both national and global levels.

Edward (Marty) Thomas holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Frostburg State University, which was obtained before 2002. Edward (Marty) also earned a Bachelor's Degree from Montana State University-Northern between 1992 and 1996. In addition, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt certification from GE Transportation in 2006.
