Gloria Kafuria II

Gloria Kafuria II has a significant amount of experience in the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) sector. Gloria began their career as a Water and Sanitation Engineer at Concern Worldwide in 2011, where they designed and supervised the construction of various water and sanitation facilities. Gloria also implemented hygiene promotion programs in schools and communities. Gloria continued to work in the field of WASH as a WASH Program Manager at Concern Worldwide South Sudan, overseeing the implementation of water and sanitation projects.

In 2016, Gloria joined Oxfam, first as a WASH Coordinator and later as the Liberia WASH Consortium Coordinator and WASH Program Manager. In these roles, they managed a consortium comprised of 6 INGOs, coordinated communication and budgeting, and led consortium meetings. Additionally, Gloria led Oxfam's WASH team in program development and implementation, focusing on areas affected by the Ebola Virus Disease.

Gloria's expertise in the WASH sector led their to World Vision USA, where they served as the OFDA WASH Consortium Technical Lead. In this role, they provided technical leadership and support to the WASH consortium.

Currently, Gloria is employed at WaterAid as the Director of Technical Services, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to their current role, they served as a WASH Advisor at WaterAid.

Gloria Kafuria II began their education in 2004 at Msalato Secondary School, where they studied Science, focusing on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Gloria then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from UCLAS/ARDHI UNIVERSITY, specializing in water supply, project management, sanitation, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), and wastewater management. After completing their undergraduate studies in 2010, Gloria went on to further their education at KALU Institute Spain. From 2019 to 2021, they obtained a Master's degree in International Cooperation in Humanitarian Aid.
