Margaret Tankard

Margaret Tankard is a highly skilled researcher with extensive experience in user experience and social science. Currently serving as a Staff User Researcher at Wealthfront since July 2023, Margaret previously worked at Meta from 2018 to 2023, where significant contributions included conducting quantitative and mixed-method studies focused on user safety and policy violations, leading a team on safety and trust issues, and mentoring interns. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Behavioral and Social Scientist at the RAND Corporation, where Margaret conducted evaluations of social programs, and a researcher at Princeton University, managing large-scale studies on social empowerment. Educationally, Margaret holds a PhD in Psychology from Princeton University and a BA with Honors in Psychology from Stanford University.
