Ben Osheroff began their career in software engineering in 1999 at garageband.com as a Programmer. In 2006, they joined iLike.com as a Developer, where they wrote the first generation of an artist-to-artist recommendation system and participated in a fight-to-the-death scaling adventure in launching one of the first massive facebook applications. In 2009, they were retained by MySpace as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2010, they joined Zendesk as an employee and worked their way up to Principal Engineer. In 2017, they took a break from full-time employment to travel the world and do freelance software development. In 2019, they began a solo project called Mixbrite, a platform for sharing and keeping track of a work-in-progress album. In 2021, they became the Staff Software Engineer and tech lead of Managed Charge at WeaveGrid and also founded The Main Stage, a startup aimed at transforming the fundraising experience.

Ben Osheroff was self-taught from 1979 to 2011.
