Micaela Colonna has a diverse work experience starting from 2012 as a Summer Camp Counselor at Deer Lake Athletic Club. Micaela then interned at various organizations such as The State News, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and NBC News. At NBC News, they worked as an intern for TODAY, Andrea Mitchell Reports, and Specials & Tom Brokaw Reports, where they conducted research, assisted with shoots, and performed administrative tasks. Micaela also served as a Focal Point Senior Producer, Associate Producer, and Social Media Manager at Michigan State University, managing content and social media accounts for the TV news student organization. Following their time at Michigan State University, Micaela joined NBC News as a Nightly News Production Assistant, Desk Assistant, Researcher, Associate Producer, and eventually Segment Producer, where they wrote scripts and built rundowns for primetime streaming segments. Micaela is currently working as a Senior Manager of Client Experience at Weber Shandwick since 2023.

Micaela Colonna has pursued a diverse education path in various fields of study. From 2021 to 2024, they attended Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Communication, with a focus on General Communication. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2016, Micaela attended Michigan State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. Additionally, in 2014, they briefly studied Italian Studies and Political Science at John Cabot University.
