Hansa Bhargava, MD, is a Senior Medical Director at WebMD and Medscape. At WebMD, she works on content, innovative digital products, news, and education that can meet the patient where they are. She oversees a team of experts and ensures accuracy and relevancy of content.

Working closely with the Editorial, Product, and News teams, she helps develop content from start to finish. Interested in parenting, mental health, and pregnancy, she has helped develop products such as the Baby App, Pregnancy App, and Symptom Checker and has published on digitally monitoring pregnancy and outcomes. Additionally, she has helped with partnerships, including those with the University of Alabama, Jed Foundation, CDC, and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). She often serves as an expert in media, including CNN, HLN, Politico, NPR, Vice, and WSJ Radio, and regularly appears on Fox 5 Atlanta and has a weekly segment on Fox KTVU.

Bhargava also has done keynotes and presentations at meetings such as Pediatrics 2040, Georgia Tech Industry Innovation Day, Exponential Medicine, and the FDA. She has moderated discussions at UNICEF, the Emory Global Health Institute, and Health Connect South. In 2012, she served as an expert panelist with first lady Michelle Obama at the WebMD/Let's Move Town Hall in Miami. For Medscape, Bhargava hosts the series "Uncharted Medicine" on innovations in medicine and serves on the Advisory Board. She enjoys writing for the WebMD Doctors Blog regularly.

Outside of WebMD, Bhargava has worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics nationally and locally. She is an elected executive member of the AAP Committee on Communications and Media. Bhargava has a strong interest in international children's health. In 2015, she traveled to Haiti to understand and contribute to the efforts to help women and children, and in 2016, she was appointed to the UNICEF Board for the Southeast chapter. She currently is on the Global Council for the Emory University Global Health Institute.
