Amy Knight

Amy Knight, SPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience in various human resources roles. Amy started their career in 2004 as an HR Director at Bank Iowa Corporation, where they provided coaching and consulting on employee relations issues and implemented a performance evaluation system. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Senior HR Business Partner at Mercy Health Network, consulting with executives and managers on employee relations issues and developing recruitment processes. Amy then joined the State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services, Human Resources Enterprise, where they served as a Classification Specialist and later as a Personnel Officer, providing guidance and consulting on various HR functions. In 2018, they became the HR Manager at JT Logistics, where they developed a new HR department and implemented an HRIS system. Currently, Amy works as the Director of People & Culture at WesleyLife, overseeing staffing and recruiting needs, as well as sourcing and interviewing candidates. Overall, Amy has demonstrated expertise in policy development, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development throughout their career.

Amy Knight, SPHR, attended Roosevelt High School but their degree and field of study at the high school are unknown. Amy later pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism/Mass Communication with an emphasis in English from the University of Iowa. Additionally, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification in May 2008 from the HRCI and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the HR Certification Institute in the same year.
