Responsibilities

  • Be the CEO of your area. We pride ourselves on a culture where each individual can have the autonomy to drive the success of their area. We are looking for self-motivated team players that strive to help leadership make better financial decisions based on the quality of the data and insights you will present.

  • Coordinate with external tax preparers by compiling information for federal, state, and international tax returns

  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of US sales and use tax returns and VAT/GST/HST

  • Prepare and file personal property tax and other non-income tax related filings

  • Reconcile tax related general ledger accounts

  • Manage and facilitate tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.

  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process

  • Maintain transfer price agreements

  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management

  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects

  • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures

Requirements

  • 10+ years of public tax accounting and/or industry tax accounting experience

  • Experience with US, Canada, APAC, and EMEA reporting requirements

  • Working knowledge of tax compliance software (Avalara is a plus)

  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively to non-tax professionals

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with strong ownership of the tax function

  • Minimal travel

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting/Taxation/Business/Finance
