Sarah Pierce

Sarah Pierce has a diverse work experience in the clinical research field. Sarah is currently serving as the Director Project Management at Worldwide Clinical Trials since April 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as an Associate Director Project Management at the same company from August 2021 to April 2023.

Before joining Worldwide Clinical Trials, Sarah worked at IQVIA as a Senior Clinical Project Manager from July 2015 to August 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Clinical Research Associate, Local Study Lead at AstraZeneca from October 2012 to July 2015, where they were responsible for managing a large Phase III/IV study, including site selection, recruitment, and overall project management.

Sarah also gained experience at AstraZeneca R&D, where they worked as a Sr. Study Operations Specialist from July 2011 to October 2012. Prior to this, they had multiple roles at AstraZeneca, including Sr. Study Operations Specialist from December 2009 to July 2011, Study Delivery Ops Specialist from September 2005 to December 2009, and Study Delivery Associate from March 2002 to September 2005.

Sarah'scareer in clinical research began at Randstad, where they served as an Administrative Coordinator and Study Delivery Associate from May 2001 to March 2002. Before entering the clinical research field, Sarah worked as an Associate at W. L. Gore & Associates from November 1997 to May 2001.

Throughout their career, Sarah has showcased expertise in project management, site selection, recruitment, cross-functional leadership, and compliance with regulatory guidelines (ICH-GXP, ICH, GCP). Sarah has also demonstrated strong budget, financial, and inventory management skills.

Sarah Pierce completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Management at Wilmington University from 1994 to 1997. Sarah then pursued a Master's degree in Clinical Trial Administration at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from 2006 to 2009.
