Katherine Lorey

Katherine Lorey has a wealth of work experience. Starting in 2000, they worked as an Assistant to the VP of Marketing at Bennett Pump Company. In 2003, they moved to American Collegiate Marketing, where they worked as a Customer Service Sales Representative. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as a High School English and Journalism Teacher at Lakeshore Public Schools. Katherine then moved to Zeeland Public Schools, where they worked as a High School English Teacher until 2018. In 2018, they moved to GEMS Dubai American Academy, where they worked as a Middle School ELA Teacher until 2020. In 2020, they began working as an AP Language and Composition 11th Grade English Teacher at Coastal Academy High School. In 2021, they worked as a Middle School ELA Teacher at Riverview, as well as a Virtual Trainer at NoRedInk. Katherine is currently working as a School Partnerships Associate at Writable.

Katherine Lorey began their educational journey at Mona Shores High School, where they obtained a Diploma in College Prep in 1996-2000. Katherine then attended Michigan State University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education in 2000-2005, followed by a Master of Arts in Educational/Instructional Technology in 2009-2011. In 2013, they obtained a Certificate from Grand Valley State University in National Writing Project. In addition, they hold various certifications from LinkedIn, HubSpot Academy, and the State of California and Michigan. These include an Asking Great Sales Questions and Selling with Authenticity certification from LinkedIn in 2022, an Agile Instructional Design, Body Language for Leaders, Communication Foundations, Instructional Design Essentials: Models of ID, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) Quick Start certification from LinkedIn in 2020, a National Writing Consultant Certificate from Grand Valley State University in 2020, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English from the State of California in 2020, an Inbound Sales certification from HubSpot Academy in 2022, and a Professional Secondary Teaching License from the State of Michigan in 2016.
