Kristen Leake

Kristen Leake has an extensive work experience in the field of user experience (UX) research and design. Kristen currently holds the position of Senior eCommerce UX Researcher at YETI since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Senior UX Researcher from May 2020 to April 2021. During this time, they led research efforts on the post-purchase team, collaborating with content strategists and UX designers, and conducting user interviews, field studies, and prototype testing. Kristen also maintained relationships with stakeholders and project managers.

Before Lowe's, Kristen worked as a UX Analyst Consultant at CapTech Ventures, Inc. from March 2019 to April 2020. In this role, they led UX research efforts for six Fortune 500 clients and designed wireframes. Kristen'sresponsibilities included facilitating a Google Design Sprint and conducting user interviews and prototype testing.

Kristen also has experience as a Digital Experience Consultant at their own company, Kristen Leake Creative, LLC, from April 2016 to March 2019. Additionally, they worked at Aflac as an Associate UX Researcher from October 2017 to July 2018. In this role, they identified research questions, designed research methods, and conducted usability tests across various platforms. Kristen also served as a UX/UI Designer Intern at Aflac from June 2017 to October 2017.

In 2015, Kristen worked as a WordPress Developer at MK Interactive, where they managed and organized WordPress websites, wrote and organized content, and designed web graphics. Prior to that, they worked as an Annual Fund Manager at Carolina Raptor Center from November 2014 to December 2015.

Kristen Leake holds a Master's degree in Journalism & Mass Communication, with a specialization in New Media, from San Jose State University. Kristen also pursued continued education in Information Technology at Tech Talent South. Prior to that, Kristen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from High Point University. Kristen'searlier education includes attending the University of Lynchburg and South Mecklenburg High School.
